We first moved into this house in 1988 (my first thought was “1888,” but I just feel a little old today). 🙂 As we were moving from Woodcliff Lake to a lovely street in Park Ridge, in one of the hottest Julys ever, I kept stopping by the new house just to look at this azalea. It was so full and pretty – it looked like a giant wedding bouquet.
Now it’s gotten older and a little less full, and I’ve gotten older and a lot more full. I still love this azalea.
Let’s see: if I had moved here in 1888, I would be about 152 years old now. (And you don’t have to do the math!)
Good to hear from you. I am very impressed with your writing. Your description of your home made me “see” a place I have never been. You have talent.
